Here Come the Co-Eds, the 1945 Jean Yarbrough college university musical romantic screwball comedy ("They're the teacher's petters... In a girls school!"; "300 Cuddling Campus Cuties!"; "Their newest fun!"; "Based on an original story by Edmund L. Hartmann") starring Bud Abbott, Lou Costello (Abbott and Costello), Peggy Ryan, Martha O'Driscoll, Donald Cook, Lon Chaney Jr., June Vincent, Charles Dingle, Richard Lane, and "Phil Spitalny and the Hour of Charm All Girl Orchestra" ("featuring Evelyn and Her Magic Violin")

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this window card, and the last one was 9 years ago. That last example has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still only one of two examples we have ever auctioned!

Note that this window card has been trimmed and it now measures 12 3/4" x 16 1/2" [32 x 42 cm]. Also note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded.

Note that this window card is from a remarkable collection of 24 Abbott & Costello window cards (in 24 separate auctions) that a VERY dedicated collector assembled over many years! He has now consigned them to us, so this is a rare opportunity to purchase any of these window cards at one time, and of course, if one was dedicated enough, one could purchase all 24 and duplicate what took him decades to accomplish in a single day!

What IS gelbacking? Learn More

Condition: good. The window card was found inside of a frame where it had been trimmed on all four sides, and it measured 12 3/4" x 16 1/2". There were creases, tears, and some small paper loss around the edges, with a few creases, scuffs, and faint stains scattered throughout. Someone cut out the center of the bottom line of studio information. Someone backed the card onto a paper backing and then performed slight restoration to the above defects, but they did not attempt to recreate any of the missing area, or to create the missing portion of the center of the bottom line of studio information (see our image). Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects described above or are willing to pay to have further restoration.
