An Undated (probably 1960s) Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Folded German "A2" Movie Poster (16x23; measures 16 3/4" x 24" [43 x 61 cm]) (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock's To Catch a Thief, the 1955 Alfred Hitchcock romantic crime mystery thriller ("It's a web of romance and suspense that spins you from delight to danger - then spirals to an explosive climax on the fabulous Riviera!"; "Based on the novel by David Dodge"; "Screenplay by John Michael Hayes"; about a retired jewel thief living on the Riviera, and there is a string of daring jewel robberies, so naturally, he is the lead suspect, and he decides to find the true thief himself, and he is aided by a beautiful rich young woman and her mother!) starring Cary Grant, Grace Kelly, Jessie Royce Landis, John Williams, Charles Vanel, Brigitte Auber, Rene Blancard, Georgette Anys, and Jean Martinelli. Note that Cary Grant had announced his retirement from movies in 1953, but he was lured out of retirement by Hitchcock to make this one. Also note that Jessie Royce Landis, who had played Grant's mother in "North by Northwest", this time played his potential mother-in-law, and yet, she was only eight years older than Grant, who had aged very well! If anyone knows the name of this artist, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this German poster measures 16 3/4" x 24" [43 x 61 cm]. Please do not bid on it thinking that it is 16" x 23". Condition: good to very good. There is an ink pad stamp on the back of the poster at upper left and right that slightly bleeds through to the front in Kelly's forehead and hair.
