Jamii Ya Kibera (literally translates to "The Kibera Community"), the 1990s Kenyan poster features art of a peaceful community and a violent community. Kibera is a neighborhood of the city of Nairobi and the largest urban slum in Africa. Most of Kibera slum residents live in extreme poverty, earning less than $1.00 per day. Unemployment rates and AIDS cases are high, and cases of assault and rape are common.
