What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Condition: very good. Much of the top blank area had been trimmed off and there were some creases, smudges, and tears in the borders with some tiny dot stains in the yellow background area. Other than the above, the card was in pretty nice condition prior to paperbacking. The restorer re-created the missing top blank area and performed restoration to the blank borders, but left alone the tiny smudges and dot stains in the yellow background area (which are not very noticeable or distracting).
