Artist: Richardson Studio Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned three examples of this Australian daybill, and the last one was 9 years ago. The buyer of one of those examples had the poster linenbacked and has now reconsigned it to us, so this is still only one of three examples we have ever auctioned! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had paper loss in the top left blank corner and a 2" tear in the upper left border extending into the red background. It had a 1 1/2" tear near the middle of the right border. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
