An Original Vintage Linenbacked French Stage Play Poster (measures 35 1/4" x 49" [90 x 124 cm]) (Learn More) Little Pich, the circa 1910s French poster promoting a comic stage performance by Little Pich, which was held at the Ambassadeurs. Note that we can find little information on this performer but he appears to have named himself after Little Pich (Harry Relph), an English music hall comedian and dancer during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Little Pich also appeared in a few French film shorts. The Ambassadeurs may be Les Ambassadeurs, a restaurant/nightclub in Paris, France. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some small tears, scuffs, and small areas of paper loss scattered on the folds. It had a foreign stamp in the background area under the title. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
