An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Telly Savalas was an actor from the 1950s to the 1990s. His parents were Greek immigrants, and he was born in New York City. Some of his roles include: The Dirty Dozen, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, The Birdman Of Alcatraz (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), and the title character on TV's "Kojak". He passed away in 1994 at the age of 72. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Telly Savalas! Note that our consignor purchased a collection of autographed stills that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahony Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him).
