Schoedsack Africa New York City giant ape fantasy romantic love triangle adventure horror thriller ("'The most awesome thriller of all time' the one and only"; "Not beast.. Not human.... Not devil.. But all three magnified! Raging.. Roaring.. Crushing.. Killing.."; "Strangest story ever conceived by man!"; "Out-leaping the maddest imaginings! Out-thrilling the wildest thrills!"; "See the living, fighting monsters of Creation's dawn rediscovered in the world today!"; "See the death-fight between giant ape and prehistoric dinosaur... the most amazing combat since the world began!"; "See the ape as big as a battleship wrecking New York!"; "Unique..! Thrilling! Startling!"; "From an idea conceived by Edgar Wallace & Merian C. Cooper"; based on the story by Edgar Wallace, with incredible special effects by Willis O'Brien) starring Fay Wray, Robert Armstrong (as Carl Denham), Bruce Cabot, Frank Reicher, and Sam Hardy NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this die-cut 1933 first release Spanish herald, which has a completely different artwork image of Kong that we have never seen before (but likely was used on the first release Spanish poster, which we have never auctioned and is surely beyond rare). Like the U.S. herald, it is an elaborate fold-up herald with a great full-length full-color image of Kong on one side and three black & white images of production art on the other side. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this Spanish herald is quite a bit larger than most Spanish heralds (it is 6 3/4" x 15 1/4", whereas most of them are in the 3 1/2" x 5" to 4" x 6" range). Perhaps they made the herald extra large because they knew it would be a VERY popular movie! Condition: good. There are surface tears and surface paper loss in the top center of the front of the herald, where there is a pinhole, and the pin must have been roughly removed. One could accept this incredibly rare herald as it is, or certainly, restoration could be performed to that area, without backing the herald. Learn More about condition grades
