POE'"; with a screenplay by Richard Matheson that was based on the Edgar Allan Poe story; produced by Samuel Z. Arkoff & Roger Corman) starring Vincent Price, John Kerr, Barbara Steele, Luana Anders, Antony Carbone, Patrick Westwood, and Lynette Bernay NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we suspect the art on this half-sheet is by Fred Fixler. Why? Because the art on the one-sheet from this movie has many times been falsely attributed to poster artist Reynold Brown (and also the art on the "Comedy of Terrors" posters) on several websites (including ours!). However, a collector has now informed us the actual artist for the one-sheet is Fred Fixler (born Nandor Lipschitz), who was a successful Hungarian illustrator, and that artist has the original art from his posters for both these movies on his website. Since none of his poster art was signed, he could also have created several other posters that have been mistakenly credited as Reynold Brown art, and this could help solve the mystery of the artist whose work looks like Reynold Brown, but isn't Reynold Brown! Note that this poster can be sent rolled in a tube. What IS gelbacking? Learn More Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It had some stains, tiny paper loss, and tiny staple holes in the top and bottom blank borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to restoration. A talented restorer gel backed the poster (meaning they backed the poster onto a gel material) and they then performed excellent restoration to the above defects, and then removed the gel backing, so that the poster still exactly looks and feels like an original poster (and it is!), with no backing at all. You can see slight signs of the restoration, but the poster displays really well! Learn More about condition grades
