An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Argentinean Movie Poster (measures approximately 29" x 43") (Learn More)

Lola Montes (released in the U.S. in an edited version in 1959 as "The Sins of Lola Montes"), the 1955 Max Ophuls French/German fictionalized biography romantic adventure tragedy ("The frank and shocking story of the worlds most famous WOMAN OF SCANDAL!"; "She lived too intensely and far too well!"; "The True story of a fancy woman!") starring Martine Carol (in the title role as Lola Montes), Peter Ustinov, Anton Walbrook, Henri Guisol, Lise Delamare, Oscar Werner, Will Quadflieg, Paulette Dubost, Ivan Desny, Oskar Werner, and Jean Galland. Note that the movie is presented with a framing device of an older Lola Montes appearing at a circus, with a series of re-creations of scenes from her life; when the movie was shown to U.S. audiences four years later, it was both censored and re-edited so that the scenes were presented in chronological order. Eventually, most of the original movie was reconstructed, and in 2008, a striking new Technicolor print was created. Also note that this was director Max Ophuls' final film and the only movie he made in color!
