Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 22" x 28") (Learn More)

The Bawdy Adventures of Tom Jones ("and all NEW"), the 1976 Cliff Owen English historical comedy ("Once upon a time [1735 A.D. or therabouts] with no electricty to prolong the days and no TV to shorten the nights, most of Merry Old England's merrymaking was in bed, or thereabouts. Permissiveness prevailed [population increased, too] as wily wench, amorous lady, highwaywoman, barmaid, and landlady, too, tricked, trapped and wantonly waylaid the land's fine and virtuous young men. Tom Jones fought back [though he lost a lot] and finally won the innocent young beauty [a rare one] he really loved. Henry Fielding wrote 'Tom Jones', the classic book of his time, on which this moral tale is based - somewhat loosely."; "He's back in business and it's service with a smile."; "[and all NEW]") starring Nicky Henson (in the title role "as Tom Jones"), Trevor Howard ("as Squire Western"), Terry-Thomas, Arthur Lowe, Georgia Brown, Joan Collins ("as Black Bess"), William Mervyn, Murray Melvin, Madeline Smith, Geraldine McEwan, and Jeremy Lloyd

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this half-sheet came directly from an individual who worked at Universal Pictures in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. He received many samples of posters which he carefully saved. Not only are they in wonderful condition (practically brand new unless otherwise noted), but his collection includes some posters that are extremely rare, and in fact, he may have some posters which were only made as samples and never were generally distributed!

Condition: fine. There is a slight "waviness" to the poster from the way it was stored. This would certainly flatten out if it were laid flat for any length of time, and then the poster would be virtually perfect!. Note that this poster has never been folded! Most half-sheet posters were folded twice (once horizontally and once vertically) right off of the printing press. It is very difficult to find an unfolded copy of most half-sheets, especially from before 1970!
