If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that for this 1956 re-release, only this Forty by Sixty uses the great "fierce" image of King Kong from the 1933 three-sheet (the poster that sells for hundreds of thousands of dollars). We have not seen this image on any other U.S. King Kong poster other than the three-sheet and this poster, original or re-release! Note that this is an incredibly rare poster. We have only auctioned it once before! Condition: fair to good. The poster had an 8" tear in the top border extending into Kong's forarm. It was repaired with masking tape from the back. There was a 3" tear in the right of the top border that was repaired with paper tape from the back. There are brown stains in Fay Wray's figure and Kong's hand at top center (which were transferred from the masking tape on the back of the poster). There are many scuffs scattered throughout the image, more so in the solid colored areas. There is a 3" tear near the center of the bottom border with masking tape on the back. There are some tiny tears scattered down the left and right of the poster. While we think that many collectors can accept this poster's defects and display it "as is", certainly it can be restored, if the new owner chooses. Either way, the high bidder on this poster will have a REALLY exceptionally rare poster to display! Learn More about condition grades
