An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Buster's Girl Friend, the 1926 Gus Meins silent juvenile comedy short ("Stern Bros. Present"; "One of the famous Buster Brown comedies by R.F. Outcault"; "Universal Junior Jewel") starring Arthur Trimble (in the title role as Buster Brown), Doreen Turner, and Pete the Dog. Note that Pete the Dog played Tige in all the Buster Brown movies starting in 1924. He also became Pete the Pup in the Our Gang movies, and he played that role until 1931, appearing in an amazing 90 movies over those seven years. Supposedly, he lived for another 15 years after he retired! Also note that the Stern Brothers were a very energetic pair of producers who made over 500 silent comedy shorts between 1917 and 1929! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a different scene card from this movie until we received this lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good. There are some pinholes around the edges and a fine scuff line in the top left that extends into the "S". There is some faint staining in the top edge of the top blank border. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
