'The Prince and the Showgirl'"; "Some countries have a medal for Everything"; "A Film by Marilyn Monroe Pictures Inc."; "Screen Play by Terence Rattigan"; about a showgirl in a mythical European country, who causes scandal when a prince tries to seduce her) starring Marilyn Monroe (in the title role as Elsie), Laurence Olivier (in the title role as the Prince Regent), Sybil Thorndike, Richard Wattis, David Horne, Jeremy Spenser, Jean Kent, Vera Day, and Margot Lister NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that there are many people (myself included!) who consider the lobby card images of Marilyn kneeling and Marilyn on the couch from this lobby set to be among the very best single images of Marilyn Monroe there are. It is rare that a lobby set has two wonderful single cards like this, and this group of four cards contains both of these wonderful scenes! Condition: good to very good. Card #8 has some smudges in the image and some faint smudges at lower right. There is a paperclip mark at upper right. Card #6 has a pair of staple holes in each corner and each of them is slightly torn due to rough removal. There are a few light creases around the edges. Card #4 has some tiny ink stains in portions of the edges (see our image). Card #1 has a very faint smudge in Olivier's jacket and some very light scuffs at right. The cards are otherwise in pretty nice condition and they have no tape whatsoever on the front or back, and they never have had any restoration of any kind! Learn More about condition grades
