An Original Vintage Folded World War II Recruiting Poster (measures 28" x 42" [71 x 107 cm]) (Learn More) Let's Hit 'Em With Everything We've Got!, the 1942 U.S. World War II (WWII) military recruitment poster ("Don't wait - choose the Navy") featuring art of Naval seamen manning anti-aircraft guns by McClelland Barclay, USNR (Barclay is best remembered as a pin-up artist, but he did recruiting posters for both World War I and World War II, and sadly, he was in the Naval Reserve and on a torpedoed ship in 1942, and was killed). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: McClelland Barclay, USNR Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster has pinholes around the edges and paper loss in the bottom right blank corner. It was printed on a glossy paper, which resulted in fine surface paper loss on parts of the foldlines, and it appears that someone used blue paint to touch up parts of the foldlines. There are also creases and scuffs along the folds and some scattered throughout the image (see our super-sized image for a good sense of exactly what defects the poster has, and how it currently displays). In spite of the above defects, the poster still displays pretty well just as it is, and of course, it can be professionally linenbacked, if the new owner desires. Learn More about condition grades
