Somerset Maugham; the old story of the wife of a pilot who falls in love with his best friend, and they are both too decent to do anything about it, so the husband volunteers for a suicide mission so that the lovers can be together!) starring Kay Francis, Errol Flynn, Ian Hunter, Frieda Inescort, Herbert Mundin, and G.P. Huntley NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair. The poster had paper loss at the bottom two crossfolds and fine surface paper loss and some tiny tears on parts of some foldlines. There were tears and areas of paper loss in the upper left white background area and in the upper right white background area, with some tears and paper loss around the edges of the poster. The entire poster had darkened. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. The poster not well backed at all, both because no restoration was done, and also because it is clearly separating from the linen in the upper left (so there are portions of the background that area flaking off the linen). Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects described above or are willing to pay to have them properly restored! Learn More about condition grades
