An Original Vintage Theatrical Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22") (Learn More) Songs and Saddles, the 1938 Harry L. Fraser country western musical ("The picture that will make Gene Austin the outstanding singing star of the action screen"; "Cocomalt's one and only song stylist direct from 2 years coast to coast Columbia broadcasting system!!!"; "In person Gene Austin with his assisting artists"; "The premiere preview"; "...and... On the screen") starring Gene Austin (with his "Assisting Artists"), Lynne Berkeley, Henry Roquemore, Walter Willis, and Ted Claire NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this was a special window card created for a special "premiere preview" showing of "Songs and Saddles" where star Gene Austin appeared in person ("IN PERSON; Cocomalt's one and only song stylist direct from 2 years coast to coast Columbia Broadcasting System!!!"). Apparently, CBS thought that singer/songwriter Gene Austin would become a major movie star, similar to Gene Autry, but his film career after this movie was limited to small cameo appearances. This window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: very good. There is some darkening around the edges of the card, but otherwise, it is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
