eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 6p1301 PATHESCOPE 5x7 home cinema catalog 1931 Anna May Wong, Our Gang & more, ultra rare! Date Sold 6/4/2024Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Catalog (measures 5" x 7 1/4" [13 x 18 cm]; 24 pages) (Learn More) Pathescope ("The Home Cinema"; "Free Demonstrations given within.") was a 28 mm film, projectors and camera system. 28 mm was a format introduced by the Pathe Film Company in France in 1912. 28 mm is diacetate film stock (versus flammable nitrate), and the size was deliberately chosen such that it would be uneconomical to slit 35 mm nitrate film. This system enabled the public to view films inside their home (often, but not always, abridged reduction prints!). 28 mm was discontinued in Europe during World War II, however it continued in North America until 1920 (it was later replaced by Pathe's own 9.5 mm film, as well as Kodak's much improved 16 mm format). Artist: V.L. Danvers (spelling?) Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this cool catalog! Condition: good to very good. Learn More about condition grades
