An Original 1947 (from the first release of this movie in the U.S.) Vintage Theatrical Folded Autographed One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

Love Story (released in the U.S. in 1947 as "A Lady Surrenders"), the 1944 Leslie Arliss English World War II (WWII) doomed romance romantic melodrama ("They had but a few weeks - to live a lifetime of love!"; about a concert pianist who discovers she has a serious heart condition and is likely to die soon, and she goes on holiday, and meets a pilot who may go blind very soon due to an injury he suffered, and naturally, they fall in love, and want to enjoy the little time they have, and he can get an operation that might fix his vision, but he must do it quickly) starring Margaret Lockwood, Stewart Granger, Tom Walls, Patricia Roc, and Reginald Purdell. Note that 1944 first release English "country of origin" movie paper of any kind is incredibly rare!

Important Added Info: Note that this one-sheet has been personally autographed (signed) by Stewart Granger ("For Ann- This film was called Love Story in England Best Wishes Stewart Granger")! Also note that this poster was consigned to us by a collector who believes the autograph to be genuine, and we agree with him (or else we would not be offering it). But we have no "certificate of authenticity", so please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept a degree of uncertainty as to whether the autograph is genuine.

Condition: fair to good. There is much tattering and separation along the foldlines and edges of the poster with several tape repairs on the back.
