Note that this sheet music features art of a well-dressed African American man with a top hat and cane. Note that the lyrics for this song (which are contained in the interior pages), are among the most racist and vile lyrics imaginable, using awful words and capturing every awful stereotype of black people at the turn of the 20th century. Obviously, no one would ever perform this song, but we feel it is important that this be preserved and recognized as a sign of how widespread and accepted racism was in the U.S. as this time.
