Richard Jones silent romantic love triangle country bumpkin rural comedy (Gish is not really any kind of flapper, she is a small town girl who tries to win over her boyfriend and get him to marry her) starring Dorothy Gish, Glenn Hunter, Mildred Marsh, Harlan Knight, and Tom Douglas. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this window card! Not only that, but we have only had two lobby cards and two photographic half-sheets, but no other posters. Also note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 11 3/4" x 17 3/4" [30 x 45 cm] (see below). Condition: fair. The card was found in the back of a frame where it had been used as a backing board for a picture (many framers in the 1920s and 1930s would use window cards for this purpose, and they would trim them to the size of the frame, not caring that they were cutting into the image!). In this case, the trimming, which was to 11 3/4" x 17 3/4", affects the left and top of the card, and you can see what is missing by looking at our image. Since most of the title, image, and credits remain, I would think a restorer could replace the missing area, even if they were unable to locate an image of the original card, since it is just the beginning of the title and credits and the top of her hand, but please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its major defects described above or are willing to pay to have them properly restored (or would display it as is).
