California Straight Ahead, the 1925 Harry A. Pollard car-racing sports romantic screwball comedy (written "by Byron Morgan"; about a man who shows up late to his own wedding, is disowned by both families, and he goes on a cross country adventure, dragging a wedding bus, from which he sells meals to finance his trip, and he arrives in California just in time to save his former fiancee and her parents from wild animals who escaped from a circus, and he still manages to get to Los Angeles in time to drive his father-in-law's car in a big road race, which he naturally wins, and love triumphs as well!) starring Reginald Denny, Gertrude Olmstead, Tom Wilson (a large white man who specialized in playing black roles in the early silent days when studios were reluctant to hire African Americans; he would put burnt cork on his face and skin!; he appeared in The Kid, but not in a black role), Charles K. Gerrard, and Lucille Ward

Condition: very good to fine. There is a 2" tear near the center of the top border and some smudges in the top of the "D" of "DENNY". Otherwise, the card is in quite nice condition! Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back of the card!
