An Original Vintage Theatrical Tri-Folded Twenty-Four-Sheet Movie Poster (24sh; measures approximately 9' x 20') (Learn More)

The Cincinnati Kid, the 1965 Norman Jewison gambling professional poker card playing thriller ("He'd take on anyone, at anything, anytime... It was only a matter of who came first!"; "In the everything wild, winner-take-all world of The Man and The Kid, there was only one way to separate the men from the boys."; "Hear Ray Charles sing the title song!"; "Based on the novel 'The Cincinnati Kid' by Richard Jessup"; "Screen Play by Ring Lardner, Jr. and Terry Southern"; set in 1930s New Orleans, Louisiana) starring Steve McQueen (in the title role as The Cincinnati Kid; "The Kid..."), Edward G. Robinson (as Lancey Howard; "The Man..."), Ann-Margret (as "Melba..."), Karl Malden (as "Shooter"), Tuesday Weld (as "Christian"), Joan Blondell (as "Ladyfingers"), Rip Torn (as Slade), Jack Weston (as Pig), Cab Calloway (famous black African American singer and entertainer, who made many movie appearances as himself, performing, but in this movie, he had a rare non-singing dramatic role, as "Yeller", one of the poker players in the "big game"), and Kenneth Grant Sr. (in a memorable uncredited role as the shoeshine boy who lags dimes with Steve McQueen at the beginning and end of the movie).

Artist: Bob Peak
Important Added Info: Note that we have never auctioned this poster before! Note that this twenty-four sheet was printed in 12 sections designed to overlap. Also note that this poster needs to be sent in an oversized flat package, which measures roughly 16" x 35" x 2", so it will cost more to send than items that fit in our standard flat packages, especially if they are sent to non-U.S. addresses. Finally, note that this is one of a remarkable collection of ELEVEN 24-sheets we are currently auctioning, and they are from 1957 to 1986, years that you would not expect ANY 24-sheets to have survived from, and they include first release 24-sheets from both Star Wars and Return of the Jedi, which are surely in the handful of most rare Star Wars posters there are! This is an incredibly rare opportunity to add any of these eleven posters to your collection!

Condition: very good. When the poster was fully folded, someone put three small pieces of paper tape on the back of the sections to keep them together, and they caused some tears in those areas, but nothing substantial (and the pieces of tape are still on the back of the poster). There are some creases, smudges, and tiny tears on the other foldlines, and some tiny paper loss at some crossfolds. Please look at our super-sized image to get a sense of the exact condition of this poster. It is remarkable that this poster has survived at all!
