They were enemies. A passerby could not tell which was who."; "This was the seething sultry Old Southwest. Where loyalties and labels shifted with the sands, the winking of an eye, the wavering of a gun!"; "In a story of the elements. Wind, Earth, Sky, Loyalty, Redemption, Man, Woman, Gunfire!"; "They came for the gold. They stayed for the adventure."; "Based on the novel 'The Stars in Their Courses' by Harry Brown"; "Screenplay by Leigh Brackett"; a virtual re-make of Hawks' own "Rio Bravo") starring John Wayne ("is the Gunfighter"), Robert Mitchum ("is the Sheriff"), James Caan (in his fourth credited movie role!), Charlene Holt, Paul Fix, Arthur Hunnicutt, Michele Carey, Edward Asner, and Johnny Crawford.
