An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

Dancing in the Dark, the 1949 Irving Reis musical romantic comedy ("There's nothing more exciting than... 'Dancing in the Dark'"; "Based on the Play 'The Bandwagon' by George S. Kaufman, Howard Dietz, & Arthur Schwartz"; "Lyrics and Music by Howard Dietz, & Arthur Schwartz"; "Produced by George Jessel") starring William Powell, Mark Stevens, Betsy Drake, Adolphe Menjou, Randy Stuart, Lloyd Corrigan, Hope Emerson, Walter Catlett, Don Beddoe, and Jean Hersholt ("as himself"). Note that just four years later, MGM remade this movie as "The Band Wagon", starring Fred Astaire, Cyd Charisse, Nanette Fabray, and Oscar Levant. It wasn't really an exact remake, and they intended to call it "I Love Louisa". But at the last minute, they decided they really wanted to call it "The Band Wagon", which was the name of the original play this was based on, and even though this movie was not called that, 20th Century-Fox owned the rights to that title, and they charged MGM $10,000 to use it!
