An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded French One-Panel "Grande" Movie Poster (1p; measures 47 1/2" x 63 1/4" [121 x 161 cm]) (Learn More) Le Serum (literally translates to "The Serum"), the 1910 French silent medical crime melodrama short (about a scientist and his assistant who are working on an antidote for snake venom, and the assistant plots to kill the scientist). Artist: Harry Bedos Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this French poster, which is a "country of origin" poster for this French movie, and that example has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still the only example we have ever auctioned! This is an extremely rare pre-World War II French poster! Virtually no French posters survive from before, during, or right after World War II. Apparently there were many paper shortages in France during World War II, resulting in the destruction of almost all pre-World War II posters! Condition: good to very good. There is some darkening on the back of the part of the poster that was on the outside when it was fully folded. There are some creases and several tears along the folds that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded.
