An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Herald (measures 9" x 15 1/2" [23 x 39 cm]) (Learn More) The Pony Express, the 1925 James Cruze silent historical overland mail Native American Indian cowboy western ("James Cruze's successor to 'The Covered Wagon'"; about a gambler who joins the recently started Pony Express, and the trials and tribulations he faces, including hostile Indians and bandits trying to rob the mail) starring Betty Compson, Ricardo Cortez, Ernest Torrence, Wallace Beery, George Bancroft, and Charles Gerson (as Sam Clemens [Mark Twain]) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that movie paper from this movie is extremely rare. We have only previously auctioned a window card, three lobby cards, an Australian daybill, a different style herald, and some stills from this movie, and NO other movie paper of any kind, until we received this cool different oversized die-cut herald! The herald is really elaborate and it could actually be worn on one's head. It has a tiny stamp on the blank inside that says "Made in Germany". There is a small paper herald glued to one side of it, which may or may not be easily removable, if one wanted to, and the other side had the same herald glued to it. Condition: good. The herald was glued to an album, and that caused paper loss on the back (see our image). The other side has some wear around the edges, but bear in mind the small paper herald glued on the larger herald, which may or may not be easily removable. Learn More about condition grades
