We know there was a semi-pro tennis player by that name from the 1950s, but there seems to be no logical connection between him and this poster. If anyone knows more about Mr. Wellford and his connection to this poster or subject, please e-mail us and we will post it here! Condition: good to very good. The poster appears to have been autographed with black marker at lower right (see above). There are light stains in the background at lower left above "Hawaii". There are some horizontal creases scattered throughout the poster (mostly at upper left and right). There is an enlarged pin hole in each corner of the poster. There is a 1" tear in the upper right corner and there are some tiny tears scattered around the edges of the poster. The poster is otherwise in pretty nice condition and I imagine most collectors could happily display this classic travel poster as it is, but if one chose to have it restored it would look wonderful!
