The brand was named after Chesterfield county in Virginia and was one of the most recognized brands of the early 20th century. In the 1930s through the 1950s, Chesterfield sponsored popular radio programs and their advertisements often featured famous stars of the day, such as Humphrey Bogart, Lucille Ball, Rita Hayworth, Ronald Reagan and more If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good. The poster has two vertical folds, with many creases down the right vertical fold, and separation and tiny surface paper loss on part of the left vertical fold (which runs down the left side of Martin's face, as seen in our image). There are some faint brown dot stains scattered through the poster, as well as a lesser number of smudges and scuffs. Certainly, this really cool poster could be either displayed just as it is (after careful framing), or any talented restorer could perform restoration (either with or without backing it), and afterward, it will look great!
