2 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Roads of Destiny, the 1921 Frank Lloyd silent romantic love triangle melodrama ("Written by Channing Pollock"; "[Suggested by O. Henry's short story of the same name]"; a complicated story of two brothers, where one steals the other brother's girl, and then the one brother dreams three different stories, all involving him having romances, and all ending the exact same way) starring Pauline Frederick ("in A.H. Woods Notable Success"), John Bowers, Richard Tucker, Jane Novak, and Hardee Kirkland. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. Also note that O. Henry is well remembered today for his short stories with surprise endings, and for creating the character "The Cisco Kid", but he also had literally hundreds of movies adapted from his stories, and this was one of the earlier ones of those.

Important Added Info: This group of silent lobby cards is one of many that were consigned to us by a very long time collector. Almost all of the groups were in surprisingly nice condition, but not surprisingly, many of them had smudges or stains in the blank borders, with a few pinholes or small tears. The collector approached a restorer, and asked that all the cards have touch up performed on the fronts of the cards in the borders (as needed), but that none of them be backed in any way. You can tell that the cards have had some border restoration (some of it is more "felt" than seen), but they will display really well on the new owner's walls (or in albums). And many of these cards are from EXTREMELY rare titles!

Condition: very good. The cards have had some border restoration on the fronts of the cards only, as described above, and they all display well (see our images)
