An Original Vintage Linenbacked World War II Poster (measures 20 3/4" x 22 1/4" [53 x 57 cm]) (Learn More) OCD, the 1942 U.S. World War II (WWII) Home Front poster ("Allies for a big job"; "Cooperate with your Local Defense Council") featuring a cool design by Emily Newman! Note that the "OCD" on this poster stood for "Office of Civil Defense", but of course, that is now an obsolete definition, and OCD now stands for "obsessive-compulsive disorder"! Artist: Emily Newman Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and fine surface paper loss on parts of some foldlines. There is a tiny area of surface paper loss in the center of the top border. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not at all distracting (and any restorer could easily touch them up without re-backing the poster).
