An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded French "Affiche" Movie Poster (23x32; measures 23 1/2" x 31 1/2" [60 x 80 cm]) (Learn More) Lady Godiva (released in other English-speaking countries as "Lady Godiva of Coventry"), the 1955 Arthur Lubin historical re-telling of the classic fable ("The first startling story of the world's most famous ride!"; about a Saxon English lady, who, as punishment for her militant views, is forced to ride through her town on a horse completely naked!; this movie gives a fictional account of what led up to that famous ride; unfortunately, due to the standards of 1955, Maureen O'Hara is given so much hair as to be basically clothed!) starring Maureen O'Hara (in the title role as Lady Godiva), George Nader, Victor McLaglen, Rex Reason, Torin Thatcher, Eduard Franz, and Arthur Shields NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. The poster had an area that read "en Couleurs" at top right, indicating the movie is in color. The poster was used by a theater that showed the movie in black & white, so someone put blue crayon over that area (see our image). The poster had tiny separation at the bottom crossfold and someone put a piece of conservation tape on the back of that area and on the back of tiny separation at the bottom of the vertical fold.
