Pantera was a heavy metal rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) band from 1981 to 2003. Founded in Texas, band members included: Dimebag Darrell, Vinnie Paul, Rex Brown, and Phil Anselmo. After Pantera's dissolution, Dimebag went on to form a new band, Damageplan. He, along with three others, were murdered in 2004 at a nightclub in Columbus, Ohio by a mentally unstable audience member.
