A 1975 Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Holy Mountain, the 1973 (not widely released in the U.S. until 1975) Alejandro Jodorowsky Mexican/U.S. bizarre fantasy adventure horror mystery comedy (too difficult to sum into words, but there is a somewhat of a plot where nine very unusual people search for the Holy Mountain where they will take the place of the gods who lived there and become immortal themselves) starring Alejandro Jodorowsky, Horacio Salinas, Zamira Saunders, Juan Ferrara, and Adriana Page Artist: Enrico De Seta Important Added Info: Note that while this poster is technically a 1975 re-release, we have never seen posters predating it from any country (and even the R75 posters are rare)! In 1975, this film and Jodorowsky's earlier work "El Topo", were picked up by ABKCO films and given a wide release (in the U.S. and in other countries). Interestingly, director Alejandro Jodorowsky has been trying to make a sequel to "El Topo" for decades. His original intention was to call it "The Sons of El Topo" but due to ownership disputes with the copyright holder, he was forced to change the intended title to "Abelcain".
