An Unfolded Travel Poster (measures 25" x 40" [64 x 102 cm]) (Learn More)

United Airlines: San Francisco, the 1950s or 1960s airplane travel poster made by United Airlines to promote travel to San Francisco, California. If anyone knows more about this poster (including the exact year), please e-mail us and we will post it here.
Artist: Stan Galli
Important Added Info: Note that this poster shows a great artwork image (by Stan Galli) of a cable car! We feel certain this poster is from the 1950s, but our description says "1950s or 1960s", because we use it to cover United Airlines travel posters from both decades.

Condition: good. The poster was never folded. The lower half has some rippling throughout and there is a series of creases running vertically at center. Approximately 4-5" of the upper edge has slightly darkened. Fortunately, despite the defects the poster is colorful and is otherwise "all there" and this is the kind of poster that responds really well to restoration. It is likely that much or most of the rippling can be removed chemically, and after linenbacking with some proper restoration to the above-mentioned defects the poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
