An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More)

Her Big Night, the 1926 Melville W Brown silent mistaken identity romantic movie-making acting comedy ("story by Peggy Gaddis"; "From the story 'Doubling for Laura' by Peggy Gordon"; about a shop girl who looks exactly like a famous movie star, and she impersonates her, and all goes well until the actual movie star shows up!) starring Laura La Plante (in a dual role!), Tully Marshall, Cissy Fitzgerald, Mack Swain, Lee Moran, Zasu Pitts, Natt Carr, John Roche, and Einar Hanson. Note that in researching this movie, we discovered a rare mistake in the New York Times database! They describe this movie incorrectly, giving the details of another 1926 movie called "Her Big Adventure" (the mistake is very understandable, since the titles are so similar, and since both movies involve a girl being mistaken for someone important who looks exactly like her!). If anyone knows how to tell the New York Times to fix this, please do so! Also note that it was a pretty common plot device in silent movies to not only have people meet their exact double, but also to then go on to impersonate them. I wonder if this happens much in real life!

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that first release 1926 movie posters from this Laura La Plante movie are incredibly rare. We have only auctioned a single lobby card from this movie until we received this window card!

Condition: poor. There is much staining throughout, with nail holes, tears, and paper loss around the edges.
