An Autographed 8" x 9 3/4" [20 x 25 cm] Publicity Still (Learn More) David Brenner was a stand-up comedian/talk show host/actor from the 1970s to the 2010s. He was the most frequent guest on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson in the 1970s and 1980s. He also was the star of the 1976 TV series "Snip" (inspired by the movie Shampoo), but unfortunately NBC cancelled it before the show aired, which is a shame, since it would have included one of the first gay characters in an American situation comedy! He passed away in 2014 at the age of 78. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by David Brenner! Also note that this still measures 8" x 9 3/4" [20 x 25 cm], but it has not been trimmed. Finally, note that many celebrities kept multiple 8" x 10" (or smaller) copies of good publicity images of themselves to sign for fans, and also many memorabilia shops sold such copy stills themselves. While they are not original theater-used stills, they are usually excellent clear copies, with a great shot of that celebrity in their heyday, which, when signed by the celebrity, makes for a wonderful framed picture on any fan's wall! The consignor of this autographed item (and a number of other signed items in this auction) is a longtime autograph collector who does not have a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) for this item, but he feels certain it is genuine. Many of the items he has consigned were purchased from an autograph store that was going out of business when the owner retired, and many of the items he has consigned to this set of auctions come from this purchase. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
