Terror seizes city!"; "All New Thrills! Shock! Suspense!"; "Monster Escapes!"; "City flees in Terror!"; "Here at last! New thrill wonder 3-D Horrorscope!") starring John Agar, Lori Nelson, John Bromfield, Nester Paiva, Ricou Browning (who played the Gill Man underwater), Tom Hennesy (who played the Gill Man on land), Clint Eastwood (in his big screen [speaking] debut in a bit part as a lab assistant), Brett Halsey, and Flippy the Porpoise. Note that this movie was released in 3-D, but most first release U.S. posters don't bother to mention that (perhaps because the 3-D craze was dying down). The poster had a snipe attached to the middle right, and it was removed, causing two areas of surface paper loss, but fortunately, they are almost completely in the background, except for a tiny bit in the edge of the creature's body (see our image). It had pinholes scattered across the top and bottom, with some tears and small paper loss, and someone performed some amateur restoration to those areas with tape from the back. There is also tape on the back of part of the left of the middle horizontal fold where there were tears, and tape on the back of the vertical fold between the top and middle crossfolds, where there was a small tear. While this poster has many defects, and a fair amount of tape on the back, any talented restorer could remove the tape, and after proper restoration, the poster will look great!
