An Original Vintage English Film Program (measures 5 1/2" x 8 3/4" [14 x 22 cm]; 8 pages) (Learn More) Stoll Picture Theatre was an English theater in Newcastle upon Tyne from 1919 to 1974. It was originally the Tyne Theatre and Opera House before it was converted to a film theater. The theater thrived as a cinema through four decades but due to a rise in the popularity of television, the number of people going to the cinema declined during the 1960s. The Stoll attempted to counter this by cornering a select market showing X-rated films, but this did not help maintain the cinema and it closed in 1974 Important Added Info: Note that we have provided an image of all of the pages of this 8-page English program (we did this by opening it and laying it flat and photographing the front and back cover together, and two of the interior pages together). Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
