An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Herald (measures 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" [9 x 14 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) Rose of the Golden West, the 1927 George Fitzmaurice silent politics revolution romantic melodrama ("From the story by Minna Caroline Smith and Eugenie Woodward"; set in 1846 "Old California", when it was owned by Spain, and Astor plays a convent girl who joins forces with a young man to stop a general from betraying his country to the Russians) starring Mary Astor, Gilbert Roland, Gustav von Seyffertitz, Montagu Love, and Flora Finch NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this herald. One of those two examples has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still only one of two examples we have ever auctioned! Note that this is from a wonderful collection of heralds we were recently consigned. We auctioned the first 30 from this collection (the very best ones) in our just-concluded April Major Auction. We will auction more from this collection every four weeks until they are all sold, and this time there are 43 different ones (all are in separate auctions), and they include many that we have either never before auctioned or only auctioned once or twice before.. The collection only included one of each herald, so on the rare ones, it may be quite some time before we offer the same title again! Condition: good. The herald has stiff paper glued to the back cover. Learn More about condition grades
