A 1960 Re-release Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Italian One-Panel (known in Italy as a "2 Fogli") Movie Poster (1p; measures 39" x 55") (Learn More) Niagara, the 1953 Henry Hathaway marital problems romantic melodrama ("Marilyn Monroe and 'Niagara' a raging torrent of emotion that even nature can't control!"; "Marilyn Monroe and Niagara, the high water mark in suspense"; set at the famous Niagara Falls waterfall in New York state and Canada; about two couples visiting the famous landmark, one on their honeymoon, and the other in a very disturbing relationship, which leads to a death, which may be murder) starring Marilyn Monroe, Joseph Cotten, Jean Peters, Casey Adams, Denis O'Dea, Richard Allan, Don Wilson, Lurene Tuttle, Russell Collins, and Will Wright. Note that Marilyn Monroe was given the lead in this movie, but she was not yet a major star. Her performance in this film, and the iconic gigantic image of her laying atop the famous waterfall with the water running over her body helped her career massively! The poster had tiny paper loss at some crossfolds and some creases and tiny tears on small parts of some foldlines. There were pinholes in the corners. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, but the restorer did little restoration to the poster (but any restorer could easily touch them up without re-backing the poster). Learn More about condition grades
