An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card #4 (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) The Searchers, the classic 1956 John Ford family relationship lost relative cowboy western ("He had to find her... he had to find her..."; "The biggest, roughest, toughest... and most beautiful picture ever made!"; "The story that sweeps from the great Southwest to the Canadian border in VistaVision"; "Ethan - Whatever it took - he'd find her!"; "Debbie - Somewhere out there - she was captive!"; "Laurie - Her heart wanted to wait - and couldn't!"; "Martin - He started the search as a boy, and ended as a man!"; "Clayton - the Good Book in one hand, and a gun in the other!"; "Warner Bros. presents the C.V. Whiteney Picture"; based on the novel by Alan Le May) starring John Wayne (as Ethan Edwards), Jeffrey Hunter, Vera Miles, Ward Bond, Natalie Wood, John Qualen, Olive Carey, Henry Brandon, Hank Worden, Robert Lyden, Walter Coy, Pippa Scott, Lana Wood, Dorothy Jordan, Beulah Archuletta, and Dorothy Jordan NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good. there is a large faint circular stain that runs entirely around John Wayne's left hand (HIS left hand, which is the hand that is on the extreme right of the card!) and down through the end of the word "SEARCHERS" in the title area (it appears someone set a large circular wet object on the card and it left a "ring"); there are also some light water stains around the edges of the card extending into the image area; there is a 2" crease in the background above Wayne's right shoulder extending slightly into his shoulder; a similar 2" crease in the background area above Wayne's hat extending into the edge of the top border; I would assume a talented restorer could possibly remove the water stains through chemical means, after which the card would look fantastic. Failing that, they surely could paint over the water stains to where they are barely noticeable. But please do not bid on this card unless you can accept the defects it has or are willing to pay to have it restored. there are a few other light creases and scuffs throughout the image; tiny paper loss in top left blank corner Learn More about condition grades
