Indiana Jones."; "The Hero is back"; "Story by George Lucas"; with a great soundtrack by John Williams) starring Harrison Ford (in the title role as Indiana Jones), Kate Capshaw (as Willie Scott), Amrish Puri (as Mola Ram), Roshan Seth, Philip Stone, Jonathan Ke Quan (billed as "introducing Ke Huy Quan"; as Short Round), and Dan Aykroyd NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This is a very rare uncut printer's test poster (often referred to as a "printer's proof")! Before a poster was printed in large quantities, the printer would print a limited number of posters as "test" posters. Because they needed to be shown to people at the studio, people in the art department, the stars, etc, they would print a number of test posters and distribute them to these people. Some of them would be fully trimmed, but often they would leave the color chart on the left edge of many of the posters, which added an extra inch to the width of the poster. Once these printer's test posters were shown to the various people in a position to "OK" them, the printer would print the full print run of the posters. Not only is a printer's test poster far more rare than a regular poster, but it is also 100% genuine as there is no fear of purchasing a reproduction! Note that around this time, studios were creating "subway posters" for many releases, which were 45" x 60" horizontally-shaped posters that were glued up on walls all over New York City (hence the name "subway poster"). They also made these smaller "subway" posters which measure approximately half the size of a regular "subway" poster (usually around 29" x 45"), and look like a one-sheet, only bigger, but they have information about one or more specific New York theaters then-currently showing that movie. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster has general fold and border wear and a few minor edge defects (see our image). There are some light creases scattered in various areas. It is otherwise in pretty nice condition.
