b771 RED HEADED WOMAN #3 movie lobby card '32 great Jean Harlow c/u!

An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More)

Red Headed Woman, the 1932 Jack Conway romantic comedy ("Is she the rival of every wife?"; "Is the Red-Headed Woman different from other women?"; "From the book by Katharine Brush"; "Screenplay by Anita Loos"; according to IMDB, F. Scott Fitzgerald was an uncredited writer for this film; ) starring Jean Harlow, Chester Morris, Lewis Stone, Leila Hyams, Una Merkel, May Robson, and Charles Boyer. Note that this movie was famous as the one where Jean Harlow dyed her trademark platinum blonde hair red. Because the movie is black & white, it is not very obvious that her hair is red (although it is clearly not platinum blonde), but in the lobby cards, her red hair is very prominent! Also note that Charles Boyer was a college graduate with a philosophy degree, and he appeared in a few movies in his early 20s. He had greater success in talking movies, thanks to his distinctive French accent (which Chuck Jones "borrowed" for his character Pepe Le Pew), but he had his greatest success in Hollywood in the early 1940s, when many of the top U.S. stars were away in World War II.

Important Added Info:
NOTE: Most lobby cards from before 1940 (and some from after that date) did not have individual lobby card numbers like later lobby cards (those printed after the advent of NSS in 1940) did. So we have arbitrarily assigned numbers to unnumbered lobby cards, only when we sell more than one from a set, so that there is a convenient way to tell different scenes apart. (Note that we do not use #1, because this is commonly used to signify the title card). The exception to this is sets of cards that did not have title cards.

Condition: fine. Note that this card is completely unrestored and has never had any restoration of any kind, nor has there been any tape on the front or back of the card. The back of the card is completely blank, with no writing or stamps.
