An Original Vintage Folded Three-Sheet Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 81" [104 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) Laurel & Hardy, the 1944 stock poster ("The funniest pair in pictures"; "More laughs than a carload of comic pages") created by Film Classics for use by theaters showing re-releases of Stan Laurel & Oliver Hardy movies. Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank area. Sometimes the studio would overprint the stock poster with the title of a specific movie, and sometimes they sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, so the theater could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a single one-sheet from this, and no other movie paper, until we received this three-sheet! Also note that this three-sheet was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap. Condition: fair to good.
