An Original Vintage Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh) (Learn More) Diamond Demon, the 1947 Dave O'Brien (Dave 'Tex' O'Brien) baseball sports documentary short featuring Pete Smith (note that Smith first started producing short subjects in 1931, when they were referred to as "Pete Smith Specialties"; he made an astounding 155 of these over the next 24 years, narrating 135 of them, and sometimes he was billed as "a Smith named Pete"; the shorts covered a wide range of unusual subjects, kind of like "Ripley's Believe It or Not"; as the narrator) and starring Johnny Price as himself. Note that director Dave O'Brien was better known as Dave 'Tex' O'Brien, and he appeared in many B-westerns as an actor. In the mid-1940s, as his western career wound down, he turned to directing (and providing voices for) many animated shorts, including lots of Pete Smith Specialties!
