Date Sold 2/14/2023 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 8 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Cowboy and the Kid, the 1936 Ray Taylor cowboy western starring Buck Jones, Billy Burrud (11 years old and in the title role as Jimmy Thomas, "The Kid"), Harry Worth, Charles Lemoyne, Dick Rush, Dorothy Revier, and Oliver Eckhardt. Note that it was not at all odd in the 1930s for tough cowboys to have young male "pals" that they "palled" around with (Tom Tyler had Frankie Darro, etc). This is the only movie that Buck Jones made with Billy Burrud, so either they didn't have chemistry together, or Burrud wanted more substantial roles! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have never auctioned a complete set of lobby cards for this movie before! Condition: good to very good. Each of the cards has pinholes or other tiny defects around the edges. The title card has an ink pad stamp at upper left. The cards with the little girl in blue at center and the one with the horses has punch holes at left that have been repaired with tape from the back. The one with the woman being carried has staining at left and the one with the man on the ground has much painted writing on back. The cards are otherwise in pretty nice condition and they have no tape whatsoever on the front or back, and they never have had any restoration of any kind! Learn More about condition grades
