An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Danish Movie Poster (measures 20 1/4" x 29 1/4") (Learn More)

El (released in the U.S. as "This Strange Passion" and "Torments"), the 1953 Luis Bunuel Mexican troubled marriage obsession melodrama (based on the novel by Mercedes Pinto; about a husband who literally becomes insanely jealous of his wife, to where he has lost his mind!) starring Arturo de Cordova, Delia Garces, Aurora Walker, Carlos Martinez Baena, and Manuel Donde

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was linenbacked a long time ago on a thin linenbacking. This was likely done at the time of the first release (this was often done to three-sheets and six-sheets at this time to allow larger posters to be re-used by more than one theater, as the linenbacking helped keep these large posters together and allowed them to be put up and taken down). After the poster was mounted on the thin linen, it was then folded in the usual way (both the linen and the poster itself). More often than not, this linenbacking DID help the poster survive better (any professional restorer can remove the poster from the old linen, and properly re-linenback it).

Condition: fair to good. In addition to being backed onto "thin linen", an unknown amount has been trimmed from the borders of the poster. The title has been painted in across the bottom and there is a small area of black paint at lower center right of Bunuel's credit.
