Also note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 14 1/4" x 18 1/2" [36 x 47 cm]. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had a blank top that was completely trimmed off. It was folded near the original middle and had very minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. Someone baked the poster, and they added a small blank border to the top, and the poster displayed pretty well. However, after that time, the poster was roughly handled, and it acquired a slightly diagonal crease just above the middle fold that was already there, both in the poster and in the linen. Also, the poster acquired faint brown stains in all the excess areas of the linen, and slightly entering the blank borders of the poster. One could still display this poster just as it is, or one might choose to have it re-backed, but bear the above in mind before placing a bid on this poster. Learn More about condition grades
