An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Invasion of the Saucer-Men, the 1957 Edward L. Cahn science fiction (sci-fi) alien horror thriller ("Creeping Horror... From the depths of time and space!"; "See Teenagers vs. The Saucer-Men!"; "See Disembodied hand that crawls...!"; "See Night the world nearly ended...!"; "See Earth attacked by flying saucers!") starring Steven Terrell, Gloria Castillo, Raymond Hatton, Frank Gorshin, Lyn Osborn, and Russ Bender. Note that while few people have fond memories of this movie, everyone loves the wonderful posters created to advertise it, with the goofy "cabbage head" aliens holding a half-clad girl, and with great art of spaceships destroying a city! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Albert Kallis Important Added Info: Note that this horror/sci-fi one-sheet is from a really terrible movie, but it has a really classic image (with wonderful Albert Kallis art of the "cabbage head" aliens), and because of this, it is one of the most desirable 1950s horror/sci-fi one-sheets! While we have auctioned a total of 22 examples of this poster, only four of those were not linenbacked, and those four were auctioned between 6 and 15 years ago, so clearly it is difficult to find this very desirable poster off of linen! Condition: very good. The poster has the tiniest of separation at the top crossfold and no separation at all at the other two crossfolds. It has very minor wear on the folds. It has two areas of multiple creases in the upper half of the right border and two small areas of blank paper loss in the right border, and several other creases scattered down the right border, with a much lesser amount of wear on the other borders. There is darkening on the back of the right half of the top fold (it was on the outside when the poster was fully folded), and there are three incredibly tiny areas of paper loss in the right half of that fold, and tiny creases in the top quarter of the vertical fold. I would think many collectors would be happy to display this great poster as it is (as noted above, it is very difficult to find off of linen), or certainly the above minor defects can be easily corrected through linenbacking. Either way, the new owner will have a wonderful poster to display on their wall! Learn More about condition grades
